SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER
Job Overview
In this important role you'll be responsible for strategic supply chain engagement, developing approved supplier lists, ensuring supplier qualification and certification is in line with social impact policies and strategies and forging trusted relationships both from a strategic and operational point of view. You'll support our commercial team in promoting efficiencies, and savings in the procurement of materials, supplies and services.
Skills/Qualifications
· University degree in Business, or preferably Purchasing.
University degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a Supply Chain function.
Demonstrable track record of successfully managing e-commerce warehousing and distribution logistics over multiple geographical regions.
Solid understanding of demand and supply planning/ forecasting, replenishment and logistics.
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to plan ahead and to develop new logistics strategies.
· Think customer first in everything you do.
· Ability to improve processes with innovative techniques.
· Ability to work under pressure.
· Co-operative and good team player.
Responsibilities:
· Having a collaborative working-approach with Production, Sales& Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate demand forecasts are provided.
Maintain supply chain planning models for incoming and outgoing: to include sales forecast, safety stock, lead times, minimum order quantities, measurement of forecast accuracy and deliveries.
· Achieving on time delivery, to meet contractual quantity, quality and technical requirements.
Investigate any complaints that relate to supply chain issues.
Create Purchase Order plan each month and create POs.
Work with Sales/Marketing/Finance on monitoring forecast accuracy and creating an accurate sales forecast.
Work with production on delivery of POs placed.
Regularly review and update relevant SOPs as required.
· Working with our staff and managers to identify the best procurement solutions.
· Ensuring our procurement practices are held with the highest professional standards.
· Achieving value for money and innovation on all procured items.
· Leading and collaborating on procurement processes.
· Maximising opportunities to increase income generation. Negotiate with suppliers/ vendors to ensure the best value for money and service at all times.
Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers/vendors.
· Reviewing, comparing, analysing and approving products to be purchased.
· Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
· Monitoring and updating supplier information.
· Monitoring and evaluating supplier’s performance, and if needed researching and evaluating potential suppliers.
· Oversee and manage the overall supply chain and logistics strategy, in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity.
Guarantee that the supply chain protocols and procedures are followed.
Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers and customers.
· Provide support to the Sales department,
Maintain and improve key Supply Chain practices. Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabulities and close operational gaps.
