COST& MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT 

Job Overview

We are looking for a cost and management accountant to work in our accounting department. You shall act as a vital role in the team to complete monthly and year-end reporting. The role includes the monthly production of management accounts including providing variance analysis on movements to budget/forecast. Ownership of the entire process around reimbursed costs, liaising with senior employees to resolve queries.

In order to excel in this position you must be a good team-player across board, possess the ability to work harmoniously with all departments of the Company.

Skills/Qualifications

·       University degree in Accounting.

·       Minimum of 5 years’ experience post chartered accountancy qualification.

·       Excellent Microsoft Office skills.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Experience of leading and managing teams.

·       Experience of delivering improvements within a finance setting.

·       Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.

·       Ability to improve processes with innovative techniques

·       Determination to complete work to a high standard.

·       An analytical mindset.

·       Ability to foster good working relationships with all departments of the Company.

·       Ability to work under pressure.

·       Numerically proficient and ability to think on your feet.

Responsibilities:

·       Maintaining standard cost of raw materials, packaging, machines and finished goods.

·       Preparation of monthly and year-end management accounts.

·       Managing budgets around all costing issues with variance analysis.

·       Develop and maintain accurate costing system in relation to labour, production methods and material supply.

·       Identify and record all cost accurately.

·       Ensure period inventory and stock take.

·       Maintain Fixed Assets Depreciation records.

·       Oversee the equipment/Assets register is completed and kept on file.

·       Update general ledger for movements in fixed Assets.
